THIS IS THE CHALLENGE
- Leading and developing the local Purchase team
- Giving input for and implementing purchasing strategies as developed by the Executive Management
- Ensuring optimal and timely availability of products at competitive conditions for the sales organisations of the local and international Arcus markets
- Giving input for new suppliers, products and markets.
- Assessing suppliers ( performance and quality)
- Ensuring a close dialogue with the sales departments in all markets
- Mangaging of the stock in cooperation with the CPO
- Optimising cooperation with logistics for packaging and inbound processes
- Negotiating with key suppliers
- Evaluating suppliers (performance and quality)
- Setting annual targets/KPIs, in line with the Arcus Group’s strategy
- Managing NCR’s to suppliers in consult with the CPO
- Reporting to the CEO and the CPO.
THIS EXPERTISE IS NEEDED
- Completed vocational training in the commercial sector / a comparable qualification / comparable knowledge and experience acquired in practice
- Several years of experience in an operational trading company in purchasing, preferably in the area of stainless steel and carbon steel (pipes and pipe connections)
- Analytical skills, key figure and solution-orientated approach
- Communication and teamwork skills with an eye for the essentials
- Business fluent in German (written and spoken)
- Very good knowledge of English (written and spoken)
- Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel
